Arrivé à Javerdat à l'âge de 4 ans, il y achète une propriété au début des années 1950 au village du Pic, où il réside encore aujourd'hui. Faisant valoir une petite propriété tout au long de sa vie, il exerça également le métier de cantonnier de commune. Mr Savi précise que son nom est ainsi orthographié à cause d'une erreur d'un employé de mairie, Son grand-père et son père l'orthographiaient Savy, qui est un patronyme très courant en Limousin. Dans ce petit entretien improvisé, il évoque pour nous les grands travaux (fenaison, moisson, battage...) et tout ce qui s'y rattache: le liage des b&oelig;ufs, les repas, la mécanisation etc. Il nous parle également de son métier d'employé communal. Réputé dans toute la commune pour ses talents de chanteur et de siffleur, Mr Savi nous interprète de courtes versions de trois chansons bien connues en Limousin : Lo Turlututu, La Gerba bauda, Las quatre sasons. Enfin, Mr Savi nous parle de la Mandragore, cette bête féroce qui terrorisa longtemps le nord-ouest limousin et dont on dit qu'elle possédait une queue de serpent, un corps de lion et une tête d'homme. Sur la bande elle même une étiquette "Chamberet Violoneux" , il s'agit d'un enregistrement de M. <a href="http://www.violoneux.fr/wiki/Eug%C3%A8ne_Tarrade" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eugène Tarrade</a> (1891-1981), violoneux corrézien, probablement réalisé le 21 Avril 1959 . (Informations F. Etay) Dans cet enregistrement une chanteuse (Mme Brouillac) et M. Tarrade interprètent, parfois en duo, un beau répertoire traditionnel : - Des chansons (La Yoyette, Pita te maridas pas, Embrasse moi bien petit Parisien, l'autre jour en m'y promenant...) - Des airs à danser : Des bourrées (de Tarnac, de Sarran, de Lagraulière ...) , des mazurkas, une scottish, 4 figures de quadrille "A ta santé mon père François", "Le rossignol chantait", "On appelle Antoinette" et "La caille et la bécasse", plusieurs valses dont la "valse de Tarnac"... Pour finir, par Eugène Tarrade, une histoire peu connue "la jornada ente vesiam doble" Son petit fils, Arnauld GUIZERIX, à qui nous devons les photos nous précise ; "...je me souviens très bien des airs joués au violon par mon grand-père Eugène, et j'ai parfaitement reconnu sa voix également quand il racontait ses histoires en patois. Il y a eu certainement différents enregistrements car il était connu au niveau local, et je me souviens de certaines occasions, peut-être dans les années soixante ou soixante-dix, où l'on venait l'interroger et l'enregistrer dans sa maison de Chamberet. J'étais enfant mais je garde de lui l'image d'un personnage attachant et pittoresque, qui marquait les personnes qui le connaissaient. Eugène est né en 1890 à Chamberet, était clerc de notaire à Faux la Montagne avant d'être appelé en 1911 pour trois années de service militaire avant sa mobilisation pour la Grande Guerre, où il servit comme ambulancier. De retour à Chamberet aprés la guerre, il s'installa avec sa mère, veuve depuis 1909,  dans  sa grande maison de Chamberet.  Eugène vécut dans cette maison jusqu'à sa mort, vivant de sa pension d'ancien combattant, et de travaux agricoles. Il était le violonneux du village, apprécié de tous, et animait régulièrement fêtes, veillées et mariages. Il avait une vision poêtique du monde, enrichie d'une réelle culture littéraire, et un sens de l' à-propos qui le rendait attachant..." Sa famille maternelle était originaire du village voisin de Ceinturat (commune de Cieux), connu pour son menhir, le plus haut du département (5,10 mètres au-dessus du sol). Beyssas nous parler de sa passion pour le dessin et la sculpture sur ardoise, ensuite il nous parle du travail aux ardoisières de Travassac, les différents métiers (les mineurs, les treuillistes, les tailleurs, les cliveurs) la modernisation... Pour conclure cette partie il nous parle de la géologie puis de l'histoire des ardoisières. Cet enregistrement sur les ardoisières a servi de base à un article de Clair Mahé, "Henri Beyssas, tailleur de pierre, vous parle", publié dans le Lemouzi n° 82 d'avril 1982 (p. 185-190). Sur le second enregistrement (à partir de 27'57''), nous retrouvons M. Sur la bande 714 notée "enregistrement Auger, 15.2.60", Robert Dagnas a enregistré à St-Germain-de-Confolens le clarinettiste Marcel Auger. Jean (dit Marcel) Auger est né à Availles-Limouzine (Vienne) le 6 novembre 1909 et est décédé à Confolens le 19 mai 1993. Il fit partie, de 1927 à 1932, du groupe "les Veilleurs de Saint Germain" du peintre et folkloriste Jean Teilliet. Au début des années 60, M. Auger avait rejoint, pour un temps, "Lo Gerbo Baudo" de Confolens. Enregistré en présence de danseurs, M. Auger interprète là bourrées, marches, scottischs et quadrilles, des airs qu'il jouait avec [Georges] Charpentier mais dont il "ne se rappelle plus bien... y a tellement longtemps que je ne les ai pas joués !" Pierre Boulanger nous a aimablement donné les indications suivantes : En N° 1. La "bourrée creusoise" (?) "Los as-tu vist los tetons de ma mia Los as-tu vist per queu petit partus ? Son blancs son gris los tetons de ma mia Son blancs son gris color de la perdric" En N° 4. Une marche de noces très connue, jouée avec de multiples variantes dans tout le Confolentais (et peut-être ailleurs) : "Venes-tu nigaud, Segues-tu lordaud Venes-tu granda bestia Venes-tu nigaud, Segues-tu lordaud, venes-tu grand sòtiaud..." En N° 12. Un air de quadrille joué en marche. Le groupe folklorique de la Bourrée Limousine de Brive-la-Gaillarde le jouait sous le titre de "Marche de Brive" Je crois que c'est un air du répertoire de Dupeyrat qui demeurait à Savignac d'Allemans en Dordogne et qui a inondé toute une partie de la France de ses partitions. En N° 13. Le Pas d'Eté, puis la Pastourelle. Le nom des figures des quadrilles pouvait varier ; ces quadrilles étaient souvent faits de morceaux déjà connus (marches, polkas) que l'on arrangeait au gré des musiciens ; et en sens inverse des airs détachés d'un quadrille se jouaient souvent en marche. En N° 16. La Poule, figure de quadrille. Sur une version simplifiée, Sylvain Mautrait avait mis des paroles de son cru: "Dans Confolens, la belle ville / Il y a des filles en quantité...." et il jouait ça comme marche de noces. Président du groupe folklorique « Los velhadors de Sent Junian », Robert Dagnas a parcouru durant les années 1950-1960 les routes du Limousin, armé de son magnétophone, à la recherche de chanteurs, conteurs et musiciens du pays. Il animait, grâce à ces enregistrements, une émission hebdomadaire à « Radio Limoges ». Ces bandes nous ont été confiées pour numérisation et diffusion par Françoise Étay, professeur responsable du département de musique traditionnelle au CRR de Limoges.
