Sur cette bande qui nous a été confiée pour numérisation et mise en ligne par Nicole et Georges Delcros, se trouve l’enregistrement d’une conférence faite à la fin des années 1970 par MM. Léon Dautrement et Yvon Chalard à Favars (19). Léon Dautrement (1899-1979) était enseignant, syndicaliste enseignant et républicain engagé, il publia de nombreux ouvrages sur la région. Au moment de la conférence il était président de la Société scientifique, historique et archéologique de la Corrèze dans le bulletin de laquelle il publiait régulièrement des articles. M. Dautrement parle des noms de lieux, des monuments, des familles bourgeoises de la commune. Il termine son intervention par les « troubles de Favars », émeutes paysannes pendant la Révolution. Ensuite, son collègue Yvon Chalard, enseignant lui aussi, parle de la construction de la route entre Tulle et Brive, de la route du silex à la nationale 89. * Nicole et Georges Delcros, tous deux enseignants militants, passionnés de folklore et de traditions locales, ont beaucoup collecté la mémoire locale. Il s'agit d'un document collecté à la fin des années 1970, sur lequel on peut entendre deux accordéonnistes : M. Robert Communal, accordéoniste diatonique. Surnommé « Toutou », M. Communal (1913-1986) habitait à Merlerie, commune de Montpon-Ménestérol (24). Il avait fait la guerre de 1939-1945 et y avait été gazé. Il joua de l’accordéon (un Maugein) jusqu‘à sa mort, notamment pour l’une de ses voisines. M. Jean Faure dit « Jantou » accordéoniste chromatique (1917-1977). Il habitait à Bénévent, commune de Saint-Martial d’Artenset (24). Connaissant le solfège, il avait débuté par le violon et apprenait très vite les morceaux de musique dont il recevait les partitions. Il avait joué dans des orchestres de musette.  * Michel Feynie est anthropologue et comédien. Nous lui devons la notice et le séquençage de ces documents. Au début des années 80, pratiquant l'accordéon diatonique, il se mit à la recherche de répertoire auprès de musiciens de sa région (le Sud-Ouest de la Dordogne du côté de Montpon-Ménestérol). Une partie de ses collectages (contes, chansons, musique) lui a servi pour monter un spectacle franco-occitan : « Hommes et femmes du Landais / Òmes e femnas dau Landès » racontant la vie d’une famille de paysans du début du XXème siècle à sa fin. Il s'agit d'un enregistrement datant du 16 février 1976 dans lequel nous entendons un joueur de vielle à roue : M. Gabriel Chevalier, alors âgé de 84 ans, et domicilié à Dontreix (23). Le musicien joue, sur une vielle de Nigout, une série d'airs à danser : giattes, polkas, scottishs, marches nuptiales, valses, etc. Il chante quelques-uns de ces airs, en français ou en occitan, parle de sa vielle, d'un instrument qu'il a construit, et raconte à M. Prudent le déroulement des mariages traditionnels. Cet enregistrement fut réalisé par Georges Prudent, lui-aussi musicien. Le signal étant très faible, une partie de cet enregistrement est difficilement audible, mais le contenu mérite souvent de faire un effort... Datant du début des années 1980, une partie de ce document a été enregistrée par Marcelle Delpastre elle même, l'autre par Jan dau Melhau. Enquête municipale à Jouillat (23)  Il s’agit ici de la première partie de l’enregistrement d’une enquête réalisée le 19 juillet 2004 à la mairie de Jouillat, auprès d’informateurs et personnes ressources originaires de la commune. On y entendra quatre enfants du pays, Charles Lebrun (maire de Jouillat), Georges Dauger, Maurice Pissalou et Daniel Lannet nous livrer successivement (et parfois dans un joyeux brouhaha) leurs impressions sur le « patois » et ses variantes dialectales, sur sa disparition et l’attachement qu’ils lui témoignent. On y entendra également les noms des villages de la commune dans leurs formes linguistiques locales, des souvenirs sur l’ancienne ligne de chemin de fer Guéret-La Châtre, des anecdotes sur les loups et les chiens enragés, des histoires sur le curé de Jouillat, de nombreux commentaires sur les observations liées au calendrier traditionnel et aux rites associés aux funérailles… Sans oublier quelques chansons, Le Turlututu et l’incontournable Les maçons de la Creuse qui font écho aux nombreuses anecdotes livrées sur les migrations saisonnières des maçons. L’intervention d’un journaliste de France-Bleu Creuse venu effectuer un reportage se fait entendre des plages 8 à 15. Sur la face B de cette cassette, se trouve un enregistrement datant du 17 septembre 1979, collecté par Marcel Belette et Philippe Rouvet. Émile Daurat, dit Milou ou Lo pair Milon, était né en 1907 et demeurait à La Suza commune de Beyssenac (19). Il jouait sur un accordéon diatonique à 3 rangées (un Dedenis ?) dont une note était cassée au moment de l'enregistrement. M. Daurat avait fait, lorsqu'il était jeune, les bals et les mariages dans la région de Pompadour mais il ne jouait plus qu'à de rares occasions. Marcel Belette avait amené, pour la visite, l'accordéon Maugein de son père sur lequel le musicien jouera la plupart des morceaux. M. Daurat, à la demande du collecteur à la recherche de répertoire pour le groupe folklorique dont il est membre, Les Compagnons de la Couade de Troche (19), interprète une série d'airs à danser (danse du tapis, polkas, quadrille, bourrée, scottish, mazurka, valses...). Octave Bariant (1899-1993)  fut chanteur soliste à la chorale Les enfants de Limoges et participa en 1933 à la fondation du groupe foklorique L’Églantino do Limouzi. En 1938, l’éditeur de musique et disquaire Limougeaud Lagueny, boulevard Carnot, le présenta à la société Columbia, pour laquelle il fit trois 78 tours reprenant des chansons limousines de tradition et des compositions plus récentes. Sur cette cassette, ces 78 tours enregistrés en 1938 : Lo chabretaïre, Un jorn dins l'estolha, La gerba bauda (paroles Jean Rebier, musique André Le Gentile, La Briança (paroles de Joseph Mazabraud, musique de François Sarre), Lo turlututu, et Lo cuer de ma mia de Simon Poylevé (1620-1697). Ensuite des airs de la chorale de L' Églantino do Lemouzi Bonjour Bergerette, La Chanson des bouchers de Limoges, La bourrée de Brigueil. Puis une biographie d'Octave Bariant, (sans doute une émission de radio dans lequel il interprète des extraits du dernier acte de Mignon, de Les mousquetaires au couvent et de la sérénade de Gounod, accompagné au piano par Mme Marquet. Dans la dernière partie de ce document on le retrouve, âgé de 82 ans, accompagné à l'accordéon par Jacques Dunoyer dans un répertoire Limousin : La Briança, La Maiada. Sur cette bande qui nous a été confiée pour numérisation et mise en ligne par Nicole et Georges Delcros, l’enregistrement d’une conférence faite le 19 novembre 1977 par MM. Léon Dautrement et Yvon Chalard à Favars (19). Léon Dautrement (1899-1979) était enseignant, syndicaliste enseignant et républicain engagé, il publia de nombreux ouvrages sur la région. Au moment de la conférence il était président de la Société scientifique, historique et archéologique de la Corrèze dans le bulletin de laquelle il publiait régulièrement des articles. Après avoir présenté la situation à la veille de la Révolution, M. Dautrement, évoque les évènements de Lachamp et de Favars et les différents écrits relatant ces évènements. Ensuite, son ami Yvon Chalard, enseignant lui aussi, parle des attaques de diligences à Condat-sur-Ganaveix et Favars. * Nicole et Georges Delcros, tous deux enseignants militants, passionnés de folklore et de traditions locales, ont beaucoup collecté la mémoire locale. Il s'agit d'un document collecté au début des années 1980. Monsieur Clament, musicien routinier, né en 1901 et mort en 1983, demeurait à Le Fleix (Dordogne) mais avait vécu à Veyrière, commune de Fraisse . Il jouait sur un accordéon diatonique Maugein et avait initié son fils André (il avait même joué, avec lui, dans quelques bals clandestins). Ce musicien propose les morceaux de son répertoire, essentiellement de la musique à danser : Marches, scottishs, valses, bourrées, mazurkas, quadrilles, polkas...
