Arrivé à Javerdat à l'âge de 4 ans, il y achète une propriété au début des années 1950 au village du Pic, où il réside encore aujourd'hui. Faisant valoir une petite propriété tout au long de sa vie, il exerça également le métier de cantonnier de commune. Mr Savi précise que son nom est ainsi orthographié à cause d'une erreur d'un employé de mairie, Son grand-père et son père l'orthographiaient Savy, qui est un patronyme très courant en Limousin. Dans ce petit entretien improvisé, il évoque pour nous les grands travaux (fenaison, moisson, battage...) et tout ce qui s'y rattache: le liage des b&oelig;ufs, les repas, la mécanisation etc. Il nous parle également de son métier d'employé communal. Réputé dans toute la commune pour ses talents de chanteur et de siffleur, Mr Savi nous interprète de courtes versions de trois chansons bien connues en Limousin : Lo Turlututu, La Gerba bauda, Las quatre sasons. Enfin, Mr Savi nous parle de la Mandragore, cette bête féroce qui terrorisa longtemps le nord-ouest limousin et dont on dit qu'elle possédait une queue de serpent, un corps de lion et une tête d'homme.
