Dans cet enregistrement datant de 1974, de très beaux témoignages sur les bergères, les bals, la danse, l'habillement, les métiers disparus, la jeunesse, les veillées... mais aussi une prière, une succession de dictons, une "nhorle" : lu surcier (une histoire extraite des aventures de "Jan Picatau de Sent Barrancon" et adaptée localement) . des chansons et airs de danse : Chas nos m'an maridat, Ardich Janeta, La mair de Pierre, Cinc sòus, ... Président du groupe folklorique « Los velhadors de Sent Junian », Robert Dagnas a parcouru durant les années 1950-1960 les routes du Limousin, armé de son magnétophone, à la recherche de chanteurs, conteurs et musiciens du pays.
